Job Title: Nursing Home Manager
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Type: Full-Time

About Us:
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for an experiences nursing home manager to manage a medium sized nursing home near to Wolverhampton. This service offers specialised care for residents with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, strokes, and neurological conditions. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Manager to join our team and ensure the highest standards of care are provided to our residents. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong leadership experience and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.

Role Overview:
As the Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursing home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care. You will lead, inspire, and manage the team, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and staff development. You will also work closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure residents' needs are met and that the home remains a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to residents with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, strokes, and neurological conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain care plans that meet the individual needs of each resident, ensuring a person-centered approach.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the team is well-equipped to deliver excellent care.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory standards (CQC, Health & Safety, etc.), and best practices in nursing and care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care, addressing any concerns or improvements required and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and staff, fostering positive relationships and ensuring transparency in care.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining accurate clinical and administrative records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with the company’s vision, policies, and strategic objectives.
  • Act as the registered manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and be prepared for CQC inspections and audits.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC Pin.
  • Proven experience working in a nursing home environment, with experience in physical disabilities, learning disabilities, strokes, or neurological conditions (a background in any of these areas will be considered).
  • Strong leadership, managerial, and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, health and safety standards, and care legislation.
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and staffing.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Ability to motivate, support, and develop staff, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement processes.
