Are you an experienced Activities Coordinator ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have the leadership skills to manage a dynamic day centre that provides essential care, companionship, and enrichment for older adults and vulnerable individuals? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently seeking a Day Centre Manager to oversee the daily running of our well-established centre in Lincoln. This is a rewarding and hands-on leadership role where your creativity, compassion, and organisational skills will make a real difference in people’s lives.

As Day Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation, development, and quality of services provided at the centre. This includes leading a small team of staff and volunteers, ensuring high standards of care and safety, and designing and delivering an engaging programme of activities tailored to the needs and preferences of our service users.
You will work closely with families, carers, and local agencies to maintain a person-centred approach and promote social inclusion, independence, and wellbeing among our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and support a team of care and activity staff, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
• Activity Planning: Develop and implement a diverse calendar of activities, events, and outings that meet the emotional, physical, and social needs of service users.
• Care Coordination: Support the creation and review of individual care plans in partnership with service users, families, and health professionals.
• Budget & Administration: Manage the centre’s budget, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with relevant policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with families, carers, volunteers, and external partners to enhance service delivery.

We are looking for someone who is caring, confident, and committed to improving the lives of others. You should bring energy, empathy, and a strong understanding of how to lead a service that combines care with meaningful engagement.

Essential:

• Previous experience as an Activities Coordinator/Day Centre Manager or in a similar role within a care or community setting.
• Experience leading or supervising staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• A genuine passion for working with older adults or vulnerable individuals.

Desirable:
• NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Health & Social Care or Management.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and CQC standards.
• First Aid and Manual Handling training.
• Experience with dementia-friendly practices.

What We Offer:

• A competitive salary of £29,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday daytime hours – no evening or weekend shifts
• A supportive and friendly working environment
• Opportunities for further training and professional development
• The chance to truly make a difference every day
