Job Title: Registered Manager
Location: Dorchester, Dorset
Salary: £70,000 per annum + 10% Bonus Potential
Facility: Residential Home
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and driven Registered Manager to lead a large, state-of-the-art residential home in Dorchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment and has the skills and experience to manage a high-quality service for our residents.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home’s operations, ensuring that the highest standards of care are delivered while maintaining a supportive and engaging atmosphere for both staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of care professionals, ensuring a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Provide strategic direction for the home, driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellence in the quality of care provided.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure the team remains skilled and compliant with industry standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that adhere to current legislation and best practices.
- Ensure resident care plans are individual, up-to-date, and executed effectively.
- Manage the home’s financial performance, including budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Handle any safeguarding or concerns raised by residents, families, or staff in a prompt and professional manner.
- Lead on inspections and audits, responding effectively to feedback and ensuring continuous improvements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a similar setting (residential or elderly care).
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and experience achieving and maintaining high CQC ratings.
- Leadership and management experience, with a focus on motivating and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and cost control.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
