Job Title: Registered Home Manager - Mental Health

Location: South Norfolk

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Home Manager with a strong background in mental health to lead our residential care home in South Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of high-quality care to our residents, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each resident.
- Manage, lead, and support a team of care staff, ensuring they are trained and motivated to deliver exceptional care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the mental and emotional well-being of residents.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for residents.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of care practices and procedures.
- Handle any complaints or incidents in a professional and timely manner, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

Skills and Experience:

- Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager, preferably within a mental health setting.
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions and the specific care needs of individuals with mental health issues.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, families, and external partners.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality care.

Qualifications:

- Registered Manager Award (RMA) or equivalent.
- CQC Management registration
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in mental health care.
