Regional Care Operations Manager - £45k - Manchester
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee our domiciliary care branches and extra care facilities within the designated region. This pivotal role will ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality care services by effectively managing and supporting our team of registered care managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Development: Lead, guide, and mentor a team of registered care managers across multiple branches, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures by conducting regular audits and inspections of domiciliary care services.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Head of Care and Senior Management Team to align regional operations with company goals, developing and executing strategic plans to drive growth and excellence.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of registered care managers and their teams, focusing on key performance indicators such as recruitment, client satisfaction, quality care, staff retention, and financial results.
• Coaching & Support: Provide continuous leadership and mentorship in areas including care quality, staff management, training, client assessments, and care planning.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with regional branches, HR, Finance, IT, Recruitment, Contracts and Commissioning, Senior Management, and local authorities to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve concerns from clients, families, and staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes, implementing necessary improvements to maintain compliance and elevate care quality.
• Tender Support: Collaborate with the tender writing team to develop competitive and compelling proposals for new business opportunities.
• Deputy Support: Provide support to the Head of Care as needed, ensuring the continuity of care and smooth operations during periods of transition.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in a senior management role within healthcare or social care, especially in domiciliary and extra care services.
• Successful track record of managing multi-site operations and leading teams to achieve strategic objectives.
• In-depth knowledge of CQC regulatory requirements and standards applicable to domiciliary care services.
• Strong leadership, communication, IT, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions to improve performance.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality care and ensuring the well-being of clients.
• Proficiency with IT systems and industry-specific digital software.
• Willingness to travel within the region and to the head office as needed.
