Location: Gloucester

Are you an experienced and passionate leader within the health and social care sector? Do you have a deep understanding of the needs of adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and complex care requirements? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a Deputy Manager at a small residential service based in Gloucester.

Holly at Amber Mace is working on behalf of a dedicated residential service that are committed to providing high quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities. As Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Manager in the day-to-day operations of this residential service. You will be responsible for assisting with staff management, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and support to our residents, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Manager in the effective management of the service, including staff supervision, training, and development.
Oversee the delivery of person-centered care plans, ensuring that each resident's needs and preferences are met.
Assist with the management of resources, including budgets and supplies, to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment that respects the dignity and independence of all residents.
Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure holistic support for residents with complex needs.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
Previous experience working within a residential service, preferably with adults with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and complex care needs.
Proven experience in a managerial role within the health and social care sector.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
A relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
A compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of vulnerable adults.
