Children’s Home Manager – New Start-Up
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (with on-call Monday – Thursday)

Are you an experienced leader looking for a new challenge in a specialist children’s home? We are seeking a Children’s Home Manager to oversee a brand-new service in Huddersfield, supporting children and young people with complex needs, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and physical and verbal aggression.

About the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the home and staff team, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
Managing a diverse and experienced team, with staff-to-child ratios ranging from 4:1, 3:1, and 2:1 depending on individual needs.
Implementing and maintaining care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
Ensuring a therapeutic, safe, and structured environment for all residents.
Leading on OFSTED compliance, safeguarding, and quality assurance to achieve a high standard of care.
Managing rotas, budgets, and staff training to create a stable, supportive home.

What We’re Looking For:
Experienced Managers or Deputy Managers looking to step up (must be highly experienced in children’s residential care).
Candidates must be working towards or hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage challenging behaviours in a high-need setting.
A commitment to safeguarding, positive outcomes, and therapeutic approaches.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and lead a resilient, dedicated team.
