A well-established residential care home in Southampton is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and confident individual to lead by example in delivering high quality, person centred care.

The Role:
The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for overseeing care provision during daytime hours, supporting a team of care staff, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care tailored to their individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading care delivery during day shifts
• Safely administering and managing medications
• Providing guidance, supervision, and training to care staff
• Updating and maintaining detailed care plans
• Liaising with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Upholding CQC standards and the home’s care policies

Candidate Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Hold a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (essential)
• Have previous experience in a senior care role, including medication administration and care plan training
• Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Show a genuine commitment to promoting dignity, choice, and well-being for residents
