Job Title: Home Manager – Learning Disability Service
Location: Radstock, Somerset
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Amber Mace are recruiting on behalf of a dedicated provider of care services for individuals with learning disabilities, committed to promoting independence and enhancing the lives of those we support. This small, welcoming service in Radstock provides a safe and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives.
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and committed Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our service, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a care service, with a strong background in learning disabilities and ideally have held CQC registration in the past.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational and financial aspects of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Lead, inspire, and support a dedicated team of care staff, ensuring the ongoing development and training of the team.
- Oversee the service’s CQC compliance, managing inspections and implementing improvements where necessary.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals we support, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that all regulatory requirements and policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Home Manager or similar role within the learning disability or social care sector.
- Ideally, previous experience of holding CQC registration or managing services through CQC inspections.
- In-depth understanding of CQC regulations and best practices for learning disability care.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff.
- A compassionate and dedicated approach to providing person-centered care.
- A relevant managerial qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent).
