Position: Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Manchester
Hours: Full time (37.5p/w)
Salary: Up to £42k
Amber Mace are currently working with a leading Occupational Health provider, committed to delivering high-quality products and services to their customers. As part of their dedication to the well-being of their employees, they are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their team in Manchester. This role will be full time.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a crucial role, working closely with employees, management, and other healthcare professionals to implement and coordinate occupational health programs, assess employees' health conditions, and provide expert advice on health-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct occupational health assessments for employees, including health screenings, fitness-to-work evaluations, and health surveillance programs.
• Collaborate with the HR department and line managers to manage employee health-related issues, sickness absence, and return-to-work plans.
• Provide professional advice on workplace adjustments and accommodations to support employees.
• Deliver health promotion initiatives and educational programs to enhance employees' health awareness and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with legal and company policies.
• Liaise with external healthcare providers, specialists, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Monitor and assess workplace hazards, contributing to risk assessments and providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation, industry best practices, and advancements in occupational health to ensure the company remains compliant and informed.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a qualification in Occupational Health essential
• Previous experience within Occuaptional Health required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven experience in conducting health assessments, health surveillance, and fitness-to-work evaluations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism when dealing with employee health matters.
• A proactive and organised approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
