Deputy Residential Manager-£31k-Chesterfield
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
- Two 12-hour shifts (07:30 – 19:30) working on the floor
- Two supernumerary 8-hour shifts

Job Summary
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the care home. You will ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents while leading and motivating the care team. This role requires a balance of hands-on care and managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to care staff, ensuring best practices in person-centred care.
- Support the Home Manager in maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and care standards.
- Conduct staff training, supervisions, and appraisals to promote professional development.
- Assist in care planning, risk assessments, and medication management.
- Ensure residents receive compassionate and dignified care tailored to their individual needs.
- Handle administrative duties, including rota management and audits.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals.
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
Requirements
- Experience in a senior care role, preferably within a care home setting.
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays when required.
