Salary: £48,000 per annum

About the Role:
Claire at Amber Mace is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join the team at a medium-sized elderly nursing home in Worcester. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for our residents. As a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will assist the Nursing Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, manage and support the nursing team, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Management:
oAssist the Nursing Home Manager in managing the nursing and care staff, ensuring a high standard of care is provided.
oOversee the induction, training, and development of new and existing staff.
oAct as a role model and mentor to the nursing team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Clinical Care:
oEnsure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents.
oConduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
oProvide direct nursing care when required and manage complex clinical situations.
• Compliance and Quality:
oEnsure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards, including CQC requirements.
oParticipate in audits and quality assurance programs to continually improve care standards.
oMonitor and manage clinical risks, ensuring safeguarding protocols are adhered to.
• Communication:
oMaintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external healthcare professionals.
oHandle complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
oEnsure accurate and up-to-date documentation of care plans and medical records.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role within a nursing home or similar setting.
• Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in elderly care.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
