Job Title: Deputy Care Manager
£13.00 per hour

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom

Claire at Amber Mace is currently working with a fantastic care provider based within the West Midlands who are looking for a deputy manager to join the team at a medium-sized elderly residential home dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Their ethos revolves around creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents can thrive and enjoy their later years with dignity and respect.
I are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within the care sector, demonstrating strong leadership skills, a commitment to providing outstanding care, and the ability to work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the home.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential home.
Provide leadership and support to care staff, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and develop individual care plans in collaboration with the care team.
Monitor and review care plans regularly to ensure they remain effective and responsive to residents' changing needs.
Act as a point of contact for residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals, fostering positive relationships and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
Take responsibility for the administration of medication in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centered care throughout the home.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role within the care sector, preferably in an elderly residential setting.
NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of elderly residents.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing the provision of care services.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
