About Us:

Claire at Amber Mace is currently looking for a team leader to join the team at a small children's home located near Telford, providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people. This home, which accommodates a small group of children, aims to deliver the highest standards of care and support. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team and help us maintain our exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of care workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to children.
Compliance: Ensure all practices within the home comply with Ofsted regulations and standards, maintaining high levels of care and safeguarding.
Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the individual needs of each child are met.
Support and Supervision: Provide supervision, support, and training to care staff, fostering a positive and effective team environment.
Communication: Maintain excellent communication with children, families, staff, and external agencies to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained, complying with regulatory and organizational standards.
Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies and incidents effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
Shift Management: Oversee the planning and management of staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage and support at all times.

Requirements:

Experience: Significant experience working within a children's home or residential care setting, with a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, providing support and guidance to ensure high standards of care.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, staff, and external stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
Qualifications: Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
Driving License: Full driving license is essential.
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
