Registered Children’s Manager - £55k – Preston

Position: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Preston
Salary: £50,000 + £5,000 signing bonus + £5,000 performance bonus

Your Responsibilities:
• Ensure your home achieves at least a “Good” rating from Ofsted
• Develop and maintain high-quality care and support plans tailored to each young person’s unique needs
• Build and lead a strong, motivated care team
• Establish systems to gather feedback from young people on the care they receive
• Allocate and oversee key workers for each resident
• Monitor quality standards in line with the home's Statement of Purpose
• Manage any safeguarding concerns and complaints
• Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to promote positive outcomes
• Attend planning and review meetings
• Promote a safe, empowering culture for young people
• Oversee commercial operations and ensure alignment with budgetary goals

Who We’re Looking For:
• Experience: At least 2 years working in children’s residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory capacity within the last 5 years
• Qualifications:
o Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (required)
o Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (preferred or willingness to start within 6 months)
• Knowledge of:
o Children’s home regulations and legislation
o Ofsted frameworks and The Quality Standards
o Trauma-informed care and managing challenging behaviours
• Skills: Confident in leadership, team development, budget management, and communication
• Driving licence: Full UK driving license required
