Job Title: Chef (Care Home)
Location: Chislehurst
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: 33 per week - 11 hour shifts
Harry at Amber Mace is looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef to join a team at a welcoming and well-established Care home in Chislehurst. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents, contributing directly to their overall well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meal Preparation: Prepare high-quality, nutritious meals in line with residents' dietary requirements, including specific medical or allergy-related needs.
• Menu Planning: Collaborate with the management and care team to create varied and balanced menus, ensuring resident satisfaction and health.
• Food Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene regulations, ensuring the kitchen is compliant with health and safety guidelines.
• Stock Management: Oversee stock levels, place orders as needed, and ensure effective portion control to minimize waste.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the care staff to understand the dietary preferences and needs of residents, ensuring a positive dining experience for all.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Chef in a care home, nursing home, or similar healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of special diets, nutrition, and allergen management.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Flexibility to work alternate weekends as part of the rota.
• A passion for food and a desire to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives.
