Claire at Amber Mace is working on behalf of an independent care provider based in the West Midlands. My client is a reputable provider of residential care services, operating two well-established care homes in Walsall and surrounding area. their mission is to deliver exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. My client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Care Manager to oversee the operations and drive the business development of both homes.
Job Overview:
The Business Care Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of two residential care homes in Walsall. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, have a robust understanding of business development, and possess significant experience in the care sector. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care services.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Management:
oOversee the day-to-day operations of both residential care homes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
oImplement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care.
oMonitor and improve the quality of care services provided.
oDevelop and execute business strategies to drive growth and improve occupancy rates.
oIdentify new business opportunities, including partnerships and service expansions.
oConduct market analysis and competitor research to inform business decisions.
oPrepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
oMonitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
oImplement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
oLead, motivate, and develop a team of care professionals across both homes.
oEnsure appropriate staffing levels and oversee recruitment, training, and retention of staff.
oConduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing support and development opportunities.
oEnsure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies and standards.
oConduct regular audits and inspections, implementing corrective actions as needed.
oPrepare for and manage inspections by regulatory authorities, ensuring positive outcomes.
oBuild and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
oAct as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring effective communication.
oPromote a positive image of the care homes within the community.
Qualifications and Experience:
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management
• Extensive experience in managing residential care homes.
• Strong knowledge of business development and strategic planning.
• Proven track record of successful leadership and management in the care sector.
