This is a full remit position where you will be required to deliver the highest standard or services to patients and clients, in line with the code of conduct provided by the General Medical Council and Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

Role Duties:
• You will be required to provide day-to-day clinical service delivery, including medical screenings, Occupational Health consultations and specialist medical services.
• You will provide medical advice, and deal with more technical and complex cases
• You will work closely with the Clinical and Medical Directors to ensure the highest standard of service is provided.
• Provide clinical support to your team of Occupational Health Nurses, Advisors and Technicians
• Conduct audits and make appropriate changes when required
• Maintain expected standards in line with GMC requirements

Requirements:
• Full GMC registration
• Diploma in Occupational Health is essential
• Minimum of 2 years Occupational Health experience is essential
• Proficient IT skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Amber Mace are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join a fantastic team at a neurological service based near Milton Keynes
The Occupational Therapist will provide professional Occupational Therapy to the service users of the home, providing functional assessments, and reviewing and assessing service users to enhance their ability to live independently.

Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:
• To monitor and evaluate the outcome of clinical practices and liaise with team members in the development of effective models of service delivery.
• To assess and treat people with a complex condition
• Discharge Planning and the ability to incorporate treatments that require knowledge of Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy
• To participate fully in the multidisciplinary patient care programmes including the delivery of therapy programmes and the provision of aids.
• To contribute to the development and management of the team through provision of relevant information and training
• To attend care and professional meetings as required.
• To comply with company care and professional policies
• To complete risk assessments for patients giving professional opinions where necessary with recommendations.
• To perform any other duties, this may arise following discussion by the Multi-disciplinary Team.

Skills/Qualifications for the Occupational Therapist:
• HCPC Registered
• Occupational Therapy (Dip. COT Bsc OT) qualification
• 1 Years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of Occupational Therapy, through CPD.
• Able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of assessing and treating people with a complex condition, strong clinical background
• Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and protection of vulnerable adults
• Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non-verbal) with patients, visitors, Therapists and the wider healthcare team.
