Role:
• Focus on outcomes through a person-centred approach
• You would be responsible for the delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services for vulnerable adults, both within the community and within supported living
• Your service users will present learning disabilities, mental health needs and other complex needs
• You will provide high standards of person centred care
• Assess, deliver and evaluate treatment for your service users
• Assist the Clinical Lead SLT in delivering training programmes

Qualifications and Requirements:
• The ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
• Ideally, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months postgraduate SLT clinical experience with adults
• Able to provide evidence of CPD
• Previous experience in adult clinical learning disability/mental health community rehabilitation setting would be ideal
• Experience within social services is desirable
• You will hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification (or equivalent)
• HCPC registration, and the license to practice
• Registered member of RCSLT
• The ideal candidate would have basic Dysphagia management experience

Role Duties:
With this role, you will undertake a range of services, including the following:
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day clinical delivery of the service through provision of sickness absence case management, health surveillance and immunisation
• Sickness absence management will be both through face to face meetings and telephone consultations
• Conduct health surveillance and provide exceptional reports
• You will provide assessments and screening, reporting the outcomes in line with our clients procedures
• You will be responsible for case management, providing reports for the OH Managers when required
• Provide clear advice regarding health and wellbeing
• Create risk assessments and report appropriately if required
• Assist with providing preventative strategies
• Conduct pre-placement reviews, and fitness for work reports when required.

Requirements:
• Registered General Nurse, NMC registered, Part 3
• Qualification in Occupational Health, preferably to degree level
• Minimum of 2 years experience within OH
• Experience within the NHS and/or industrial settings is ideal

Occupational Hygiene Technician – Somerset – £25k

Lindsay at Amber Mace is currently looking to recruit a full-time Occupational Hygiene Technician, based at one of our client’s sites in Somerset. You will be joining a friendly and hardworking medical team that is part of a large national occupational health provider.

Job Duties:
• Occupational Hygiene monitoring
• Perform regular work space inspections / visits to assess OH and to promote workplace health themes
• Prepare & deliver OH training
• Contribute to OH performance reports
• Process requests for transfer/removal of chemicals & produce regular reports of chemicals kept on-site, maintaining an up-to-date chemical database
• Support COSHH assessments & perform COSHH inspections

Skills/Qualifications Required:
• Educated to degree-level in a STEM subject
• At least one years’ experience in Occupational Hygiene
• Working toward the Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH) of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS)
