Position: Unit Manager
Location: Near Stoke on Trent
Salary: £21.00 per hour plus PAID BREAKS
Hours: Day Shifts only (Part supernumerary)
Must have an active PIN

Amber Mace are currently recruiting for a Unit Manager to join the team at an elderly/dementia nursing home near to Stoke on Trent. Our client offers high-quality nursing, residential and dementia care for the elderly. As Unit Manager, you will take charge of the unit and clinical staff. The successful candidate will be clinically sound and a confident leader, dedicated to governing and maintaining the Unit. You will also need to be a fully qualified nurse with a valid PIN, with proven experience of managing a team in a residential/nursing home environment.

Role Requirements of Clinical Lead:
• To lead/ support a team of clinical and support staff
• To oversee care plans
• Assist with training of new staff
• Support the management team
• Ensure high care standards are met on a day to day basis
• Maintaining the safe custody, administration and storage of medication
• Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
• Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient/resident engagement

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:
• Valid nursing PIN ESSENTIAL
• Experience in similar care environment
• Strong clinical background, ideally in a similar setting
• A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Have a clear and thorough knowledge of CQC standards.
