Amber Mace are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers to join a highly successful care company. We are looking for Support Workers with experience in complex needs, to be part of a Peripatetic team that is mobile and able to respond flexibly to emerging needs of services both internally and externally for Wokingham Borough Council.
As a floating Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing hands on care to customers including personal care, administering medication, supporting with nutritional needs and any essential tasks such as housework or shopping. You will support customers to reach their goals and maximise their sense of well-being, ensuring they have a voice in the care they receive. You will also liaise with other healthcare professionals, assisting customers with their individual therapy programmes.

The role:
• Delivering high standards of person-centred care
• Supporting services with compliance and or quality issues, services who may be failing, and supporting the transfer of new services
• Supporting and assisting the needs of residents on a day to day basis.
• Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams.
• Promote and maintain a high standard of care
• Undertaking personal care, administering medication etc
• Completing paperwork and maintaining records
• Listening and engaging with people

Qualifications/Skills required:

• Hard working, organised, empathetic, and great attention to detail
• Experience with caring for with Learning Disabilities and complex needs
• NVQ in Health & Social Care level 2/3 desirable but not essential!
• Must hold a valid driving licence and own transport is essential
