Amber Mace are working with an exceptional school in North London looking to provide the highest quality of service for their students. This role is for someone who is looking to assist pupils to develop, maintain and progress while also improving their quality of life. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team, alongside OTs and Behaviour Analysts to provide the highest level of service.
You will be working with a range of students along the autism spectrum, so knowledge in Autism is essential for this role. Role:
Focus on outcomes through a person-centred approach
You would be responsible for the delivery of effective Speech and Language Therapy services for children within the school
Provide 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 support for the students to provide the most efficient service
Targeted group work within the class environment
Provide universal training and strategies for school staff and families
Specialist support developing personalised AAC with students and supporting access to the community
Review, refine and develop the SLT offer in line with the clients approach
You will provide high standards of person centred care
Assess, deliver and evaluate treatment for your service users
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
It is essential to have experience working with people on the Autism Spectrum
Sound knowledge of autism, learning disabilities and other special educational needs
Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) experience is essential
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) experience is ideal
You will hold a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification (or equivalent)
HCPC registration, and the license to practice
Registered member of RCSLT
