Role: Senior Support Worker – Learning Disability Sector
Salary: From £9.50ph
Hours: Full Time – 36 hours per week
Shifts: 12 hours (8am – 8pm)

As a member of this unique Care Team, you will be responsible for the comfort and wellbeing of service users, ensuring that all individuals are cared for and supported with dignity, consideration and kindness.

Role requirements for the Senior Support Worker:

• Engage with service users and provide personal care in accordance with their individual care plans
• Support and reassure service users to ensure a high standard of care
• Report any accidents, incidents or concerns to senior members of staff
• Complete all delegated tasks provided by management
• Participate in training, appraisals and staff meetings and undertake other tasks, consistent with the post
• Maintain individual’s confidentiality
• Ensure all work complies with Health and Safety and the relevant policies and procedures.
• Run errands for the service users and escort/assist them to appointments.

You will be involved with in-house events such as birthday parties, Christmas dos, special events etc.

What we need from you:
• Ability to work confidently on your own
• Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social care or above
• Flexibility with working hours – we can accommodate the hours you need around you and as part of a small team would like your flexibility to cover other staff members holiday when needed.
• Experience working residents with learning disabilities
• Driving license – due to our location you will need to be able to drive
