Charlotte at Amber Mace is currently looking for a Senior Care Assistants to join the team at a small residential home in Weston-super-Mare, paying an excellent hourly rate of £9.25/hour. This is a residential home that provides specialist care for the elderly, some of whom are living with dementia or other age-related conditions.

As Senior Care Assistant, you will assist the day-to-day supervision of residents and staff in the home manager and deputys absence. Your duties will centre on providing the highest standards of care to the homes residents as well as ensuring that their physical, social and emotional needs are met. You will lead a team of care assistants as a key part of your role in delivering this high level of care.
Role requirements for the Senior Care Assistant:
Supporting and supervising the team
Training and development
Developing therapeutic or beneficial relationships with residents/colleagues
Delivering high standards of person-centred care
Attend regular meetings
Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness of home
Support the Home Manager in implementing personalised care plans, and reviewing and monitoring these on a regular basis
Skills/Qualifications for the Senior Care Assistant:
NVQ Level 4/5 essential
Experience working in elderly/dementia care
Excellent communication & organisational skills
