Position: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Garforth, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £10ph
Shifts: A mixture of days and nights

Nadia at Amber Mace is delighted to be working on behalf of a FANTASTIC care provider who are currently looking for Senior Care Assistant to oversee and support the day to day running of a lovely service, located on the outskirts of Leeds.

As Senior Care Assistant, you will be in charge of the day-to-day supervision of residents and staff in the home manager and the deputy’s absence. Your duties will centre on providing the highest standards of care to the home’s residents as well as ensuring that their physical, social and emotional needs are met.

Role requirements for the Senior Care Assistant:
• Supporting and supervising the team
• Training and development
• Developing therapeutic or beneficial relationships with residents/colleagues
• Delivering high standards of person-centred care
• Attend regular meetings
• Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness of home
• Support the Home Manager in implementing personalised care plans, and reviewing and monitoring these on a regular basis

Skills/Qualifications for the Senior Care Assistant:
• At least two years’ experience of caring for vulnerable adults
• One year’s experience of being a Senior Carer
• Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care
• Excellent communication & organisational skills

Hours of work – 35hrs per week (2 nights 10.5 hrs x 2 = 21 hours plus 14 hours on days)
