Position: RMN
Location: South West London
Salary: £18ph and £22ph overtime
Shifts: Days and Nights, 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the alternative week
Hours: 7:45 till 8

Amber Mace are currently recruiting for a number of RMN’s to work within an exceptional mental health hospital located on the outskirts of South West London. If you are a qualified mental health nurse with a current nursing pin, please read on.

The hospital provides therapeutic care for male patients with complex mental health issues. The hospital’s small size enables it to offer a sense of home for the residents and the staff offer a friendly and warm care provision.

The Role of RMN:
• Providing a high standard of care to all service users
• Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
• Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
• To be familiar with and comply with all relevant Unit policies, procedures and protocols
• Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
• Accepting personal and shared responsibility for the maintenance of quality nursing care for all patients as part of a multidisciplinary team
• To administer and monitor the effects and side effects of medication and all aspects of medication management in line with the Trust and NMC guidelines

Skills/ Qualifications:
• Hold a current Nurse pin
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in mental health nursing
• A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
