Occupational Therapist – Clapham-£39k-Mental Health
Location: Near Clapham
Services: Independent private hospital–Mental Health
Amber Mace are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at a small private hospital near Clapham. The hospital is dedicated to providing nursing care for males with enduring mental illness and additional complex needs.
The post will involve delivery of Occupational Therapy provision, focusing on functional daily living skills and specific mental health and risk issues. This will include the assessment, treatment and evaluation of clinical interventions, planning and running a range of therapeutic individual and group work, carrying out functional assessments and contributing to multidisciplinary team care planning and risk assessment
Requirements for the Occupational Therapist:

• To monitor and evaluate the outcome of clinical practices and liaise with team members in the development of effective models of service delivery.
• To maintain concise and accurate records as requested by the Clinical Team
• To carry out specific assignments and projects negotiated with the Clinical Team.
• To participate fully in the multidisciplinary patient care programmes including the delivery of therapy programmes and the provision of aids.
• To contribute to the development and management of the team through provision of relevant information and training
• To attend care and professional meetings as required.
• To comply with company care and professional policies, procedures and National Care Standards operating in the work locations.
• To complete risk assessments for patients giving professional opinions where necessary with recommendations.
• To perform any other duties, this may arise following discussion by the Multi-disciplinary Team.
• To maintain state registration and provide proof on request.


Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:

• HCPC Registered
• Occupational Therapy (Dip. COT Bsc OT) qualification
• 2 Years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
