Amber Mace is working with an established Occupational Health provider looking to expand their team of Occupational Health Technicians in Plymouth. Our client provides effective service and advice on work related issues and health surveillance programmes.
They are offering a competitive salary for the ideal candidate, who will be ambitious, self-motivated and confident. The successful candidate will be required to have a full, clean driving license, and able to drive a mobile screening unit. Role duties:
You will be responsible for providing pre-employment medicals and assessments
Carry out Drug and Alcohol testing
Carry out fitness for work medicals
Undertake health screening procedures, including blood pressure, urinalysis, height and weight
Audiometry and spirometry testing
Provide health promotion activities
Ensure all information recorded appropriately, and equipment clean and in order
Provide advice and activities regarding occupational health and wellbeing
Work together with the Occupational Health team to provide the best service
Requirements for the role:
Previous experience in clinical/Health&Wellbeing/fitness sector essential
Previous Occupational Health Technician experience is desirable
The most ideal candidate would have a background such as the following: Personal trainers, Health care assistants, Ambulance/EMT, Military Medics, Off Shore Medics
Proficient IT skills, Excellent communication skills
A self-motivated and proactive individual, with the ability to prioritise workload, manage time efficiently, work flexibly and stick to strict deadlines
Full clean drivers licence, ability to drive a mobile screening unit
Willing to travel and stay away from home if required
