Hours: 2 days working on the floor 3 days supernumerary

Amber Mace are currently recruiting a Deputy/Clinical Manager for a luxury elderly/dementia home in Southampton. The service is a medium-sized, specialist facility that provides care for elderly residents, some of whom may be living with dementia or a physical disability. As Deputy/Clinical Manager, you will be directly involved in the health and well-being of all patients, as well as updating care plans, administering medication and supervising the nursing team. You will be responsible for all nursing care within the service, and be an authoritative and knowledgeable presence in the home.

Role Requirements of Deputy/Clinical Manager:
• To lead/ support a team of clinical and support staff
• To oversee care plans
• Assist with training of new staff
• Support the management team
• Ensure high care standards are met on a day to day basis
• Maintaining the safe custody, administration and storage of medication
• Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
• Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient/resident engagement

Essential Qualifications
• Nurse qualified – Strong clinical experience
• Dementia experience

Experience
• Minimum two years shift leadership and management in a care home setting
• Proven track record in a care home environment delivering high quality care.
• Proven track record leading, motivating and supporting clinical staff
