An excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) looking to take the next step in their career has become available within a modern and highly regarded care home in Leicester. A Dementia specialist nurse position has recently become available at an elderly nursing home in Leicester!
This purpose-built nursing home offers first-rate residential and nursing care for the elderly. The service benefits from a team of quality care staff who are dedicated to the needs of each individual.
As Dementia Nurse you will apply your clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing within the home to ensure a dignified and fulfilling life for residents living with Dementia, End of life care and Long term conditions. Experience of producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments is important too, as is an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
As dementia nurse, you will be dedicated and compassionate and you’ll pride yourself on your person-centred, thoughtful approach to nursing!

Role Requirements of Registered Nurse:
• To lead/ support a team of care and support staff
• To oversee care plans
• Assist with training of new staff
• Support the management team
• Ensure high care standards are met on a day to day basis
• Maintaining the safe custody, administration and storage of medication
• Following all codes of conduct, standards and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
• Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient/resident engagement


Qualification/Skill Requirements of Registered Nurse:
• Valid PIN number
• Experience in similar care environment
• Strong clinical background, ideally in a similar setting
• A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Have a clear and thorough knowledge of CQC standards.
