Hours: Full time

Are you an experienced Psychiatric Consultant experienced working in a Rehabilitation and Recovery service? This is a medium sized service for adult men in a beautiful area of Coventry.

Role:
• You will be responsible for up to 21 patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and development of a therapeutic milieu
• You will be the responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)
• Supervise the process of referral and admission (including pre-admission assessments of young people)
• Offer a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in respect of assessment, formulation and treatment
• Contribute to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital
• Contribute to the development of service strategy
• Contribute to in-house training programmes
• Maintain CPD and re-validation requirements

Requirements:
• Full GMC Registration
• Experience as a Rehabilitation Psychiatry Consultant
• Able to take on responsible clinician position
• Section 12 approved
• AC status
