Role: Children’s Home Registered Manager
Location: Durham
Salary: £35k- £40k (DOE)

A children’s home in Bishop Auckland are currently seeking an experienced and committed care professional to become the Registered Manager of this small residential home.

About the Service and Role:
The service specialises in individualised care programmes for children and young people with a variety of needs including emotional/behavioural needs. As registered manager you will be responsible for leading and inspiring your team towards the effective operation of the home. You will also be required to ensure the service exceeds minimum expectations in Ofsted Inspections and with the local authorities.
About you:
• You should have a minimum of 2 years working in a children’s residential service
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a management position within a similar setting
• NVQ level 5 in leadership and management or be willing to complete this in post
• You must have a thorough understanding of OFSTED regulations
• Have the ability to recruit, train and lead staff

As the registered manager you will:
• Be responsible for the day to day running of the home
• Recruit, manage, supervise staff and be responsible for the continuous professional development of your team
• Be responsible for the leadership in safeguarding children and young people
• Ensure that the highest standards of care are met within the service
