Location: Outskirts of Ellesmere

Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Care Manager for a residential care home situated on the outskirts of Ellesmere near Shrewsbury. The company is a well-established organisation and has consistently received glowing reports from the CQC. The company’s vision focuses strongly on providing the highest quality of care and support.

As Care Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the general care home. Whilst maintaining the ethos of the company, as well as being an ambassador for the organisation. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality care and support to clients in order to allow them to enjoy their experience of living within a residential service.

Job Requirements of the Care Manager:
• Asses client care needs and carry out all relevant documentation
• Support the care team
• To build relationships and rapport with clients and their families to ensure a well-rounded holistic approach to care is implemented
• Ensure CQC standards are met at all times
• Support the training and recruitment process of new staff
• Support the recruitment and marketing processes


Skills/ Qualifications required of the Care Manager:
• Elderly / Dementia experience
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Manager within the care sector
• Have a positive attitude towards improving Standards of Care
• Possess good, strong leadership skills and works well as part of a team
• CQC legislation knowledge
• Marketing skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Good communication skills


In return, the successful candidate for the Care Manager role will receive a basic salary of £34 -36K.
