Job Title: Care Home Manager
Salary: Up to £48,000 per year (dependent upon experience)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am-5pm
Location: Cardiff, Wales
Are you an experienced and dedicated individual with a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly residents? We are seeking a dynamic Home Manager to lead our team in a large, reputable nursing home located in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and shape the future of our care facility.
This role is ideal for an experienced Deputy manager looking for their next challenge or a home manager looking for a new opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
-Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and effective management to ensure the smooth operation of the nursing home. Foster a positive working environment and lead by example.
-Quality of Care: Oversee the delivery of exceptional care services, ensuring residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met to the highest standards.
-Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, including CQC, and maintain a high level of quality in accordance with industry best practices.
-Staff Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a dedicated team of care professionals. Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
-Budget Management: Effectively manage financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures, to ensure the efficient running of the nursing home.
-Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders to promote a collaborative and inclusive care environment.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in a managerial role of a large care/nursing home
-Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent).
-Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and a track record of maintaining compliance.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
