AREA MANAGER RGN- Care/Nursing Homes – Midlands & Somerset – £75K plus benefits

Salary £70,000 to £75,000pa + company car + excellent benefits

Toni at Amber Mace is recruiting for this UNIQUE opportunity!!! You will ideally be based in either the Oxford, Birmingham or Bristol area and be prepared for regular overnights stays and travel throughout their network of homes.
My client is one of the fastest growing 5* care providers & they are looking for a full time Area Manager to support their network of homes across Somerset, Birmingham & the surrounding area.

The Role:
As Area Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be supporting their network of homes throughout Somerset, Birmingham & the surrounding area; proactively working with each Home Manager and their care teams, ensuring quality care is provided to the residents whilst promoting their interests and ensuring a person-centred service is always provided.
You will be continually driving standards to ensure that the company’s business objectives and the Care Quality Commission compliance criteria are met. Supporting managers to ensure optimum occupancy is maintained in each home as well as maintaining and increasing staffing levels and passing on your breadth of knowledge and understanding of leading an exceptional care service.
You will be actively promoting good working relationships and collaborating with home managers and external stakeholders to ensure our services are well maintained, whilst identifying action planning and fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
You will be required to travel extensively throughout their network of homes in Birmingham, Somerset & the surrounding area and may be further afield to our full network of homes too.

Experience/Qualifications
As well as sharing our values of passion, compassion and caring nature you will also have the following:

• Be no stranger to a busy, challenging Care Home Management role with at least 3 years’ experience preferably multi-site experience
• Experienced Nursing Professional, with a current/valid NMC Pin
• Commissioning of new homes experience
• Experience of care improvement planning and financial management.
• You must have a proven track record in the management and delivery of high-quality care within a residential care home setting
• A confident leader who enjoys a challenge & has the natural ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team
• Have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
• Experience of meeting and exceeding KPIs
• Experience and knowledge of working in dementia care
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & management
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Happy to travel extensively throughout their network of homes with regular overnight stays
